We are at the end of the winter season clean up now and preparing for our Snowshoeing with the Cree trip to northern Quebec. We would like to thank apprentice Anne for all her hard work here this winter. We miss her and wish her luck as she continues her travels on the International Appalachian Trail.
People are signing up for canoe trips this summer and it looks like it may be one of our record breaking busy summers. Click here to see the schedule.
One of our long time helpers here at Mahoosuc, Eliot List, has started his own business. Click here to look at his website for You Travel & Teach. This is a small, international exchange company that offers a six-week immersive English teaching experience in Italy. Their annual summer program is perfect for aspiring teachers, Italian language enthusiasts, or those who are simply curious about the world.
Kevin has written a nice blog for the Natural Resources Council of Maine about questions to ask when choosing a Maine guide. Click here to read it.
Here are a couple nice videos about our canoe trips. This one talks about the retracing of the route that Henry David Thoreau and Joe Polis took while writing the book The Maine Woods 150 years ago with Kevin being the guide on this current trip. This one is of Polly guiding on Umbagog Lake in the summer.
Hope to see some of you on a canoe trip this spring, summer or fall!
