It has been a busy winter here at Mahoosuc with lots of trips to Umbagog Lake and happy to have a nice loop trail in Grafton Flats. We guided our first trip into Katahdin Woods and Water National Monument. The dogs always enjoy going on different trails not to mention the mushers as well!
We have many trips left this winter and expect to be guiding through March. We have a good snow cover and more on the way. Click here to see our dogsledding schedule on our website.
Harvard University sent another great group of students who really appreciated their outdoor experience with us. This video shows a bit about their time at Mahoosuc!
We were very sorry to say good bye to Brianna. She lived a good life to the age of 13 1/2 years old. Brianna was a MacKenzie River husky and flew down to Mahoosuc from Alaska as a puppy. Her genes live on here with her kids and grandkids. Brianna was a very sweet dog who just loved riding around in vehicles. She lived out her retirement with good friends of ours, Judy & Howard. Thank you for giving her a comfortable last few years of her life.
Here is a video taken by an enthusiast client from sitting inside the dogsled!
We have one spot left on our Dogsledding with the Inuit trip April 12-21, 2020. This is a unique cultural experience and dogsledding adventure.
