January has been busy as always here at Mahoosuc!

The winter started late but we have been in full swing with back to back trips since early in the month. People are making memories that will last a life time and this makes us feel good! We have welcomed Anne, as our winter apprentice, who is an International Appalachian Trail Hiker and originally from Texas. Thank you Anne for all of your help here at Mahoosuc!

Once again we have had some good PR coverage including this article in the The Travel and a nicely written blog by a client from last year that you can read or listen to, thank you Sharon!

Sadly we had to say goodbye to Kerry who was 13 years old. She was one of Kevin’s dogs and ran lead in his second team for years. She was a very vocal gal and he used to call her his “little noise maker”. She had a couple of nice years of retirement here in our doggy senior center and enjoyed any and all attention she could get from anyone, a very social gal! She is being missed…

We have a handful of dog sledding day trips left available for the winter and a couple spots on our overnight trips in March. There is one spot on the Women’s weekend in early March. We are excited to be going up to Ouje Bougoumou, Quebec to go out with Cree guides David and Anna Bosum in late March/early April. There are a couple openings for this snow shoeing cultural trip.
This summer is looking like another busy one with more bookings coming in for canoeing trips around the state plus some cultural trips with the Wabanaki of Maine.
We hope you are all enjoying the winter and spending some time
in the outdoors!
